Preparing for the cooperation plan of 2019 with Jeollabuk province (South Korea)
Jeollabuk (South Korea) has become one of the important foreign partners, that Dak Lak has formally established a friendly and cooperation relationship by signing. The cooperation agreement on December 21st 2017. After nearly one year of implementing the Agreement, the two provinces have had active exchanges in both public and private sectors in several fields such as: machinery, education, agricultural human resource training, humanitarian aid.
In order to prepare for the cooperation plan in 2019, Dak Lak Department of Foreign Affairs (the focal point for implementing the Agreement with Jeollabuk) held a meeting with the representative of the Jeonbuk-Vietnam Exchange Promotion Council (JVEC - Korea) on September 04th 2018 at its office with the participation of relevant departments in the province. According the discussion result, 2019 promises to be a lively, comprehensive and practical cooperation year for the two provinces with many diverse activities such as: Promoting investment and trade through the events of Jeonju Music Festival in September 2018, Jeonju International Fermented Food Exhibition in October 2018, the 7th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in March 2019; Training human resources for public officers and private workers of Dak Lak; Signing a cooperation agreement between the Machinery Associations of the two provinces; Developing a number of projects to improve the training quality for Dak Lak’s education; Researching on the demand for seasonal worker dispatch; Promoting tourism cooperation; Establishing and operating the JVEC Korean Language Training Center in Dak Lak; Organizing other cultural and people-to-people exchanges such as Yeongsan Jackbub Performance - Jeollabuk’s Intangible Heritage No. 18 in Dak Lak in May 2019, developing Jeollabuk - Dak Lak Friendship Village and organizing pupil exchanges. After receiving the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, Dak Lak Department of Foreign Affairs will continue to carry out related tasks to carry out the preparation work in cooperation with relevant departments of Jeollabuk province.
