A delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu – Alternate Member of CPV Central Committee, Chairman of the National Boundary Commission (NBC) worked with Dak Lak province on December 1-2, 2021. Mr. Phung The Long – NBC Vice Chairman participated in the delegation together with representatives of the NBC’s Western Border Department, Government Office’s Internal Affairs Department, High Command of Border Guard, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Working with the delegation in Dak Lak province were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung – Member of CPV Central Committee, Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi – Deputy Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee (PPC); Mr. Vo Van Canh – Vice Chairman of PPC, Head of Provincial Steering Committee on Border Demarcation and Marker Planting; leaders of the PPC Office, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Public Security, Provincial Border Guard Command and Provincial Military Command
After touring the border area and having been briefed on the border and territory management of the Provincial Steering Committee on Border Demarcation and Marker Planting over the past time, members of the delegation highly appreciated Dak Lak’s performance in managing and protecting the border, making an important contribution to the success of border demarcation and the comprehensive development of border provinces as well.
Acknowledging the province’s achievements and proposals in border and territory management, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu advised Dak Lak administration to manage and protect the border in a better, closer and more synchronous manner. The NBC Chairman also asked to focus on promoting propaganda about the results of land border demarcation between Cambodia and Vietnam to Dak Lak people. Simultaneously, he said, Dak Lak should organize the consolidation of its internal mechanism on land border in accordance with the real situation, provisions of law and MOFA’s guidance. The province also needs to maintain the friendship, coordination and exchanges with Mondulkiri (Cambodia) so as to jointly build a border of peace, according to the Deputy Minister.
