The 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival to be held in Dak Lak province in March 2025

Known as the "Coffee Capital of Vietnam" Buon Ma Thuot currently has the largest coffee area and output in the country, with an area of about 210,000 hectares, yielding an annual harvest of more than 520,000 tons, accounting for more than 30% of the national output. Exported to hundreds of countries and territories around the world, Dak Lak coffee has always played an important role in the socio-economic development of the province.

The Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, in its 9th year in 2025, has become a prominent event in Vietnam's coffee industry, having a great influence and leaving a good impression on domestic and international participants and tourists.

Inheriting and promoting the achieved results, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province decided to organize the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 in order to boost the promotion of Vietnamese coffee brand in general, Buon Ma Thuot coffee in particular; investment, trade and tourism development attraction and focusing on building Buon Ma Thuot city as the "Coffee City of the world" according to the Government's Resolution No. 176/NQ-CP dated October 30, 2023, amending and supplementing Resolution 103/NQ-CP dated July 9, 2020, promulgating the Government's Action Program to implement the Politburo's Conclusion No. 67-KL/TW on the construction and development of Buon Ma Thuot city to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Accordingly, the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 will be held in five days (from March 09 to 13, 2025) in Dak Lak province, with many activities to promote the traditional and typical culture of ethnic minorities, especially the Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space, a "Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity." In addition, this will be also an important and practical event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Victory Day of Buon Ma Thuot, the liberation of Dak Lak province (March 10, 1975 - March 10, 2025), the opening of the general offensive and uprising in the spring of 1975, the liberation of the South, and the reunification of the country, thereby arousing pride and encouraging the spirit of its citizens to strive and build a rich, beautiful, civilized, and distinctive Dak Lak province.
